The Vega was amazing for its' time. My dad's Vegas were inexpensive and got over 19 mpg, twice what my 1973 Buick Centurion got.
Until gas prices went up nobody cared. Time has shown us that maybe Vegas weren't that hot but smaller can be ok. :?

I don't remember the 1979 Malibu, unless that was Uncle Ed's. :?:

The contestants seem to do better than I do.
I wonder if they had to handicap BasementPaul's '69 Cadillac.

Can the Sedan DeVille be ready for the 2009 SPRING Carlisle . April 23rd? It would be a great ride and could haul a gang of us around town on Saturday night. We can give Basement a ride home after he sells this in their Car Corral. That's not much more than 90 days from now. I wonder if Canfield is ...

A seriously fun way to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon with your family. The temperature was a near record 62 degrees at 7:00am. By the time we got to this car about 11am the temperature was in the 30's with a steady 40 plus mph wind blowing. I don't know what the wind chill was but that 20 minutes w...

The Oldsmobiles already come with 1.6 rockers, not much room there to change ratios.

I think that fellow has done that a few times before.
Talk about giving your tires and equipment a trashing.
How do you get a job like that? Amazing!

It was a very good year.

As old Blue Eyes would say, it was a very good year. The highlight, of course, was the Cinderella wedding of my daugther Susan. The father daughter dance was most memorable. Confirmation sponsor for my granddaughter Ivy was a spiritual high. Our first test ride in the grey ghost was amazing after ha...

Looks like I missed a great day. The extra exhaust work on Granddad's '69 Caddy really helped. How does that 13.81 et and speed compare to GMJohn's supercharged Buick Regal GS? Can the 100 mph pass be far behind? WXO's, I mean Rookie's Firebird has never been that quick. Matt's got it going, loved t...
