Re: online videos of whatever

Yes it is terrible to look at. And with good EV trucks (if there is such a thing) coming out from GM and Ford, and eventually Ram, why would you pony up for this thing? Yikes. Also, that video says it was towed out by an F150. Actually, that was an HD Ford of some sort (F250-350), and it was ON THE ...

Re: 2003 S-10 Deer Repairs Begin

After dropping the truck off on Saturday, the work has already begun. I didn't order a core support in hopes that they could straighten the one that's on there. That is not the case, so he was able to find a clean one in KY that should be here early next week. In the meantime here's some teardown pi...

Re: 1987 Corvette Z52

We got the bolt in the suspension all tightened up. It wasn't very simple due to it's proximity to all the suspension crap under there. If the rear shock was out, it would have been much easier. Then we turned our attention to the trailer hitch, since we were back there. Oh, I found a NOS hitch on F...

Re: 1990 Corvette Z51

So what happens after they get scanned into Cometic's system? Do you get a free set? Are they going to offer them for sale? Just curious.

Re: 1987 Corvette Z52

Saturday it was warmer outside, so I wanted to get some paint on the "new" dedicated front wheel combo for dirt racing. So I got those scratched up, primed and painted pretty quickly with semi-gloss black. They're still pretty wet in the pics and have since calmed down a little. The rears ...

Re: 2005 Yamaha Raptor 660

Yesterday I finished lowering the rear of the Raptor. I installed the new adjustable link. For reference the rear stock lower link is 7" center to center, and the new link is currently set to 7-3/4". I left the rear shock mount to the lower setting. This gave me a little more suspension tr...

Re: 2005 Yamaha Raptor 660

I was able to get the front lowering "kit" installed last weekend. A pretty simple install with dramatic effect on how it looks. The front is as advertised, 4" lower than stock. I did the flip on the rear shock mount and it netted about a 2" drop in the back, but the reality is t...

Re: 1987 Corvette Z52

I haven't posted in a little while as I was having trouble getting the pictures from my phone to my computer. I have since remedied the problem. Right now I've gathered a few parts that will be going on. A new steering wheel I bought off ebay has "blemishes" but it's new, the guy has a ton...

Re: 2005 Yamaha Raptor 660

Lowering the front end by that much has a positive side effect, and that the front track will increase by about 2" adding to the stability of it. Probably not a huge issue on a short drag, but if I run the 1/4, I expect that will help. From what I've been reading, it should be mid to low 8's in...

Re: 1987 Corvette Z52

On Saturday we swapped the autocross tires off and stacked those back up. We then stuck the car back in the corner and put the battery tender on it as it most likely won't be getting much use until spring. We also made another list of things to do to it this winter. Some are maintenance, most are up...

Re: 2005 Yamaha Raptor 660

So I've been kind of busy on the Raptor. After deciding a quick carb cleaning wasn't going to make it run correctly, I ordered a new Mikuni carb rebuild kit online. It comes with a parts breakdown, so it was pretty easy to figure where everything went. I removed the carb and soaked it in a hot clean...

Re: 2003 S-10

I left this one in the ditch. She wasn't too big or worthy of breaking my back for. It was about the same time of year, and you're right, it was just north of Fairmont on 306. It might have been the first time I used a cell phone when you arrived on the scene in your sweet Mustang GT! I started the ...
