Re: new addition
Hey Matt, I’ve been around equipment trailers forever in rental fleet and never once have we balanced a trailer tire. I can tell you that on our semi tractors they dump beads in the tires which acts as a self-balancing material somehow. I would be looking for a broken belt in the tires and making su...

Perhaps Mr. T has one for Dave. He’s already welded his tag on theBasement Paul wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2024 4:36 pm That looks pretty slick. I'm sure there's a ready made hose for that scenario.

Brake pads & rotors
67,505 …. About mid-January, I started noticing my rear rotors getting rust pits on them. There was a gradual deterioration of them over the next couple of months and, even through they were still stopping without grinding, I opted to have them replaced. They had plenty of meat left on them, but tur...

1,795…….It’s been a loooonnnngg winter and work had pretty much stalled on the El Camino. Spring has been cold and wet, wet, wet! This past week the weather FINALLY came around and I had the opportunity to finally go out and fiddle around with the car. I hated the ride of the air shocks ( El Camino’...

I like the upgrade. The running gear is very similar to my 2016 Regal. Tons of front
tire burning torque there!

67,073… Snow tires off, summer tires on. This will definitely be the last summer for the summer tires. I’m 1/4” from the wear bars and not wanting to run them past that. The snows look like one more winter is going to be in their future. They’re Michelin’s and wearing surprisingly well. TPMS sensors...

65,689 …. I took advantage of sunny and 63* degree temps and did an oil change on the Terrain. PF64 Delco oil filter and 6 qts. Dexos 5w-30. Soon I’ll remove the snows, maybe a week or two.

Re: 2005 Yamaha Raptor 660
Nice Job!! I'm not sure if John's old trailer.....the one that I used to pick up that Matco box in Columbus.....had the same issue with the plate getting beat up. My trailer plates all seem to pick up sea weed. :) My trailer had the same license plate issue. My solution was to bend the plate length...

Re: 1971 El Camino
This was a good weekend's worth of work, tying up loose ends and shaking down the work that I've done to date. Work done this weekend: 1) Install seat, hook up seat belts to floor, repair passenger seat hinge trim using existing part 2) Install AUX to lightening cord on back of radio to allow Iphone...

Re: 1971 El Camino
I think I have the spare tire mounted how I want it. The spare is a donut spare with two separate lug patterns on it. At first I wasn’t keen on it, but being that I had to live behind the passenger seat and it’s lighter than a full sized spare, I decided to keep it, at least for now. There’s also a ...

Re: 1971 El Camino
I went out today to see how much of the interior I could tie up. Things went pretty well, I think. I started by mounting the speakers up. The driver side was the more difficult of the two, so I started there first. I used a 4”x6” speaker that was pretty similar to what came out of the car. The speak...

59,976 … With the threat of a winter storm coming in the next couple of days, I decided to make the move back to the snow tires. Summer tires off, winter tires on. TPMS set correctly and all was good on the road trip test. It should also be noted that I had the car undercoated two weeks back. I’m no...

I think I put the door medalions in your ashtray when you were doing the paper work in the "office".....but I could be wrong. Regardless, they have been found and look great. I think old speakers are four ohms while new speakers are eight ohms. I think they old ones will be fully usable i...
