Re: 2024 Drag Racing Stuff
Despite the disorganization and general slowness I was able to get six passes in at the track. Near the end of time trials someone who had a car they had no business racing managed to dump fluids on the track. I laughed when the announcer said it would take 2 hrs to clean up. Attendance was already ...

Re: No burnouts allowed!
That guy is an idiot - he was probably recording it to put on his social media. Cars and people everywhere - what could possibly go wrong?

Re: 2024 Drag Racing Stuff
Gonna try and get there by 5 so I have a little time to reorient myself to this place. Have not been there since it became KMP.
Time for some baseline numbers and start learning how to drive this slick black Cadillac

Re: 2014 Cadillac ATS Luxury 2.0T AWD - Mostmint #46
I've been driving it for a week or so now. I was quite happy on the first test drive to find the junkyard differential is nice and quiet. The jury is still out as to whether these rims are round enough to have no vibrations. It seems the first time at highway speeds there is some, but nothing at all...

Re: 2017 Dodge Challenger SXT - Mostmint #45
Dashboard Turns out the original dash frame was bent and bolt holes did not line up. I was concerned for a bit but test fit of the replacement dash frame showed all the bolt holes line up. IMG_1265.JPG With this information I moved the original wiring harness to the new frame and reassembled the wh...

Re: 1987 Corvette Z52
It's nice to have the fan override if you want it, but I doubt you will need it while you are on track. One thing about going fast is there is a lot of air flow. The only time I've found it handy is if you want to cool it down faster at the end of the session after you stop moving.

What are you planning to do with this car? Drive it daily?
Also what engine is in it? Can't recall if that year came with the M25

Re: 2017 Dodge Challenger SXT - Mostmint #45
Installing things on the car: • Transmission tunnel insulation and driver side heat shield • E-brake pedal • Interior firewall blanket • Some wiring harnesses. Trying to figure out where the harnesses are supposed to route, and attach to the car presents some challenges • Main under dash HVAC assem...

Re: 2014 Cadillac ATS Luxury 2.0T AWD - Mostmint #46
Had some drama obtaining the proper cam cover gaskets. If you need to buy GM parts I would suggest avoiding GMpartsgiant.com. No one sells all the gaskets you need in a kit. Aftermarket kits all seem to be missing the seal for the vacuum pump. Looking at the pieces it seemed like the prices piecemea...

Re: 2024 Group Swap Meet discussion
Not sure if I'll be ready this year but https://carlislepafairgrounds.com/proje ... nationals/
Since I'm not actively working on the Vette the need to do a swap meet has decreased, but if I was picking one from the list, fall Carlisle might an option.

Rear axles installed, ebrakes assembled properly IMG_1121.JPG Big round of welding. Almost done. Missed a couple small welds, and still have to put the sheet metal on the bottom of the A-pillar in the door jambs. Re: 2014 Cadillac ATS Luxury 2.0T AWD - Mostmint #46
Differential install is complete * differential breather is in place. I ordered one for a 5/16" fitting but it ended up 3/8". Quickly overcame that with a change of attachments. * turns out the bolts holding the halfshafts to the diff are one-time use torque to yield. I torqued them to 55 ...
