I'd have to convert from pintle hook to a hitch thing on the front.
I like the price point and the idea it was maintained by a company.. and low fenders.

Always Carry Spare Fuses
Today was a milestone day! I engaged Scott Clark from realtuners.com to help me get Maliboost's Megasquirt dialed in. Scott is a for-real tuner. If any of you remember way back in the early-mid 2000s, the videos that blue turbo chevy pickup, awd, just crushing everything on the street, that was him....

Re: new addition
I know what you mean on used trailers. I've been looking a lot, $2500 would be a nice price point, but you're right. A lot of garbage.
Trailer tires arent much different than car tires, why wouldn't they need to be balanced?

what a weekend!
I had a very solid Tiresmoke weekend.. Saturday morning, Dad and I made our annual trek to Linesville, PA for the Bair's Corvette show. We've been going pretty regularly since 2007. The last trip, which I think was 2022, ended with the Corvette coming home on the back of flatbed with failed points a...

Re: 1979 Malibu
The plan is to just use a flex hose, similar to what was on there, minus the molded 90* end. It should just make a nice arc from the thermostat housing, like Mr. T's mohawk.

Re: 1963 Corvette
Success, i think! All distributor gaskets are not created equal! I put in a different from inventory that measured a little thicker than the one that came off. It was oil soaked. Seeing that made me not pull the intake. I let it idle in the garage for a while to burp the cooling system. After a 4 mi...

Re: 1963 Corvette
Yeah, Ive cleaned it a few times. The area it leaks from is towards the passenger side. Oil pressure sending line (copper) is clean and dry. I bought the new distributor because it seemed to be in that area. It was also something i had recently fucked with, so it seemed more reasonable than an intak...

Re: 1963 Corvette
Its been on there aince 2011. If I have to reseal an intake after 13 years, i guess that isnt terrible. Im just under the gun with the Bair's Corvette show on Saturday.

Re: 1963 Corvette
Test drive complete.. oil leak remains. Passenger side rear of the engine. UGH. It's not the oil pressure sender, thats dry. I can't tell if its coming up between intake and distibutor, or if it is somehow leaking directly out the back of the intake. So I think my next step is pulling/re-sealing the...

Chevelle Projects 2024
I figured I would start a new thread for this year. I changed the oil + filter with Pennzoil 10W30 Full Synthetic + AC Delco PF454 just before going to KMP on 5/8. Other than that, I haven't touched anything on it since last fall. First pass of the season was a very nice 12.18 @ 110.8 MPH. There was...
